EPIC ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL
Myetie Hamilton is a senior executive with over 18 years of experience leading innovative change in K-12 education, and has a deep personal and professional commitment to Chicago’s south side communities. Myetie currently serves as Executive Director of EPIC Academy, a public charter high school on the far southeast side of Chicago. In this role, Myetie leads organizational strategy and vision, fundraising and external relations, and board engagement.
Prior to taking on this role, Myetie served most recently as Deputy Chief of Schools for Network 9 with Chicago Public Schools, managing transformation efforts for 27 schools in Chicago’s Woodlawn, Bronzeville and Hyde Park communities. She also held positions in Chicago Public Schools as Deputy Chief of Staff in the CEO’s Office and Chief of School Business Services for the District. In addition to her work in education, Myetie serves as Board Chair of the Provident Foundation, a non-profit with a mission focused on providing urban youth with exposure and scholarship opportunities in the field of medicine.
Myetie believes deeply in supporting the children of Chicago and the importance of providing all students with access to quality school options. Myetie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Alabama A&M University, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Illinois Institute of Technology and is a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow Class of 2016.
An alumna of the Pilot Enrichment Program (PEP), Nichole acknowledges that she owes a large part of her success to what the founding Director, Larry Hawkins, instilled in her through various activities. With a deep and abiding commitment to diversity and inclusion, Nichole Barnes Marshall has built a remarkable career in Diversity and Inclusion leadership. Always seeking to empower others, Nichole has dedicated her time and talents to endeavors that enable people to take their lives to the next level. Nichole currently serves as Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion for Aon plc, the world’s leading provider of risk management, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human resources solutions and outsourcing services.
